Pulverized fuel combustion
PetroBio’s pulverized fuel combustion process offers a comprehensive system that combines control systems, fuel handling, boilers, and flue gas treatment. The solution includes biomass pulverized fuel burners with the option to use secondary fuel, providing flexibility and optimal performance.
What is powdered solid fuel?
Powder fuel consists of finely divided solid materials that can be burned with high efficiency in specially adapted systems. Examples include:
- Wood powder from pellets, chips, or sawdust.
- Agro-based fuels such as grain, shells, or agricultural by-products.
- Dust and fine materials from industrial processes, for example sanding dust, fiber dust, or production residues.
The powdered format enables rapid combustion, precise dosing, and stable operation.

Wood Powder
Wood powder is a flexible and versatile solid fuel. It is produced by grinding wood pellets made from sawdust, shavings, and other by-products. Both wood powder and wood pellets can be used as fuel in various types of bioenergy plants and can replace fossil fuels such as coal and oil.
